Summer is in full swing, and we here at Grace Flowers Hawaii have been spending our sunshiny days soaking it up with plenty of flowers and festivities.
Here's a glimpse at what we've been up to on our down time between all the beautiful weddings and events we've been a part of:
Flower Hunta photoshoot
The Big Island is great for hunting- from catching fish to pigs to turkeys- and we decided to get in on it too- only instead of hunting animals we went flower hunting!
Here are some pics of our conquest ;)
Floral Design Workshop with White Orchid Wedding & Events starring Francoise Weeks
It was a fun and informative couple of days learning the innerworkings and mechanics of botanical couture and wearables, and such an honor to be taught by none other than the godmother of woodland and botanical design, Francoise Weeks. Afterward, the pieces made were part of a gala fundraising for West Hawaii Dance and Theater Academy.
80's Party/ flower competition
We also had our first (friendly) flower competition/80's themed party. We danced, prepared lau lau in house, and made a 20+ foot lei! As you can probably tell from the pics, it was a blast (from the past!).
