Ti Leaf Racing Rules

  • The fastest person to make a wearable Hilo style 40-inch ti leaf lei wins.

The winning lei must meet the following criteria –

  • Must be stable, not falling apart. If anything falls off the lei once the judges review it will be disqualified

  • Can not be over twisted. If the lei once worn is twisting, then it will be disqualified.

Must reach 40 inches before being tied.

  

  • Each participant will have 2 tries and their time will be recorded. The fastest 2 racers at the end of the day will have the opportunity to compete against each other in a finale. If one of the fastest people is not available, the next fastest recorded would be asked to race
